Which ATI Radeon graphics card has similar strength to GeForce GTX560M? I'm looking for a new laptop with a graphics card around gtx560m and I want to expand my options so any suggestions?
Thanks biggrin.gif

I guess GTX 560M would be equivalent to HD 5870M.

not sure if their still producing that gpu anymore though, you'll likely find the 6970M to the closest option which might push you into alienware products which are good but a tid bit pricey.

Which one is better for gaming? I'm a bit worry about the i5 core of msi gt683dx. Will it affect gaming at all?

(Lenovo-IdeaPad-Y570-59324796)
Intel Core i7-2670QM (2.20 GHz, 6 MB L3 Cache, up to 3.10 GHz)
Mobile Intel HM65 Express Chipset
nVidia GeForce GT 555M (2GB GDDR5)
15.6 inch WXGA (1366x768) LED AntiGlare

or

(MSI-GT683DX)
Intel Core i5-2450M (2.50 GHz, 3 MB L3 Cache, up to 3.10 GHz)
Mobile Intel PM67 Express Chipset
nVidia GeForce GTX 570M (1.5 GB GDDR5)
15.6 inch WUXGA (1920x1080) LED Full HD

The bottom one by far. I have the 555m in my laptop and it is really weak. The 570 is alot better but with that msi you are getting a dual core sadly. But much better resolution dont settle for 1366x768.
Look up custom gaming laptop sites like xoticpc. com and powernotebooks. com you can customize great laptops there with much newer and better cards than those.

ofcourse the bottom one. but why GT 555M not go with a 7690M? its pretty neat since it comes with an i7 and 8gigs of ram. if you want, i can review a few games for you since i dont have a bunch installed atm.

neither.

sager/clevo have the Kepler mobile chips already for sale. they have the GTX675M which is on par with the GTX580M but still has nvidia optimous technology to save battery life.
