Running Warm?

Thread Starter
Specs in sig, cpu is running around 44 degrees celsius, and mobo around 38. All stock, no oc'n. Have 2 120 mm fans, one on the window pushing in, the back one pushing out. Case is nzxt apollo. cpu hsf is Arctic 64, it just seems kinda hot, cpu wise. I was hoping to get low 30's. I do plan to lapp the hsf, then reapply as5 on her when I get to it. Thanks, mike.

Is this load or idle?

X2 run hotter btw.

Also try reapplying the AS5. Just put a pea sized dot in the middle then just put the heatsink on. Try and do it first time so there are no air bubbles (i know the 64 pro can be fiddly).

That motherboard from my experience just runs ridiculously warm. On my old evga board my CPU at 311*9 at a vcore of 1.475 used to idle at 24 and max load at 36, now with this board my CPU is 311*9 at a vcore of 1.39
and my idle temps have jumped to 31 and max load is now 48... i dont understand it, but oh well. I think the sensors on this board report like +10 or something...

A member in here discovered that his A8N-32's heat sink system was not sitting flat on the chips and had to tweak the pipes a little to get the sinks to sit flat. Temps droped due to the improved surface contact.

this is idle btw, 44 to 45 sounds rediculous to me, my x2 3800 was lower 30's on stock hsf, but it was the a8n-sli mobo. What would be the best hsf setup for this system? im thinking tt bt, any other suggestions? I have no idea what temps are in game under load, i bet its what causing fear to act up a lil bit with higher temps. thanks guys. I soon will be ordereing 2 120mm fans and a fan controller, hope it helps the temps a lil bit. My plans are to get a different cpu hsf, zalman vf900 gpu, 2x 120mm fans, fan controller. I don't know what else I could do to help out temps without going watercooling. l8r
