My guess is they interpreted Even if you lock the framerate to the monitor's refresh rate. as using vsync.

I can't stand any form of Vsync except in a few select games where I can barely feel any input lag (Relic games, Capcom games). I much prefer having tearing than having input lag, you feel like you're on the moon or something as if your pointer wasn't affected by gravity, if that makes any sense at all. I only enable it in games where it's clearly meant to be (Batman Arkham Asylum was horrible without it), and maybe some games wich I play with a controller because you don't feel the response time nearly as much.

So I'm having a little trouble understanding what adaptive V-sync actually does for me. When I enable it in global settings and disable Diablo 3's in-game V-sync, I start to get crazy stuttering and just general weirdness going on. If I turn on Diablo 3's V-sync in ADDITION to the global adaptive V-sync setting, it seems to fix it. Any idea why this would be?

I also seem to get some tearing still in games where adaptive V-sync is on and the in-game V-sync is off (BF3, CS:GO).

I hate adaptive vsync. Real vsync + tripple buffering + fps limiting to fix mouse aim lag ftw.

Adaptive Vsync always produces alot of screen tearing for my so i dont really bother with it i just use in game Vsync or turn Vsync on in Nvidia control panel only got a 60hrz monitor so no point in running anything more than 60fps.

I did this combo in Diablo III, and it worked perfectly, significantly reduced the juddering on my card.
