Why are some people hoping that it's not the big kepler? Makes no sense, better tech is always good for the consumer.

Hype machines gonna hype.

Also Alienware have just updated their laptops with 600M series GPU's.

Some are Kepler some are rebadges. 680M and 670M are re-badged 580M and 570M

660M is Kepler.

When AMD releases the 8970 at the end of the year, that's when GK110 comes out.

This exactly. It wouldn't make sense for Nvidia to put out the 690 as they would just be competing with the 680. Their next card release will most likely be 680s that were not up to spec. So 670 or lower.

What could this concept art be? I'm going to guess its an Nvidia smartphone / handheld gaming device. Just because I don't think anyone else said that yet. External GPU sounds likely also.

You've got it wrong. Releasing "big Kepler" now would simply be retarded.

Exactly.

Watch as the 580, 680, and 780 all fight each other, most brilliant tactic in history!

...Or not.
