STH10 front bezel?

Hi,
I remember seeing a front bezel with USB and mic ports on the caselabs store site but I cant locate it anymore. Anyone knows if its still an option? And if so, where is it?

Thanx

That was for display purpose only. The STH10 is designed to take any 3.5 inch I/O device, so if you need USB 3.0, card readers, etc., you can pick the device you want to use. Merlin will likely have the same feature.

Best regards.

Thanx Jim !
And BTW I have to say I really knew nothing of CaseLabs until I saw how you handled yourself in the GT 2150 group buy debacle. I found you to be a class act businessman who understands customer relations.

So the STH10 isn't really perfect for me: it's too big, too square and shapeless. While it isn't perfect it's the best case I can find right now. But it's your customer support that wan me over.

Give it a week or so and I'll be placing an order with you guys. I'll have to call it in because it's an international order (Canada).

In the mean time I just have a couple of slight suggestions:

- Get that I/0 bezel on other cases to fit the STH10. How else am I going to get a headphone/mic plug on the front of the case?
- The STH10 comes with two compartments for rads and PSU's. I think either the top or bottom one should be either removable or optional because most users will be happy with two 120.3 rads or twp 120.4 rads in their machine.
- You should look into some sort of fan filter system and offer that with your cases (either standard or optional). I just don't know how I am going to design a fan filter that doesn't look too bad on the outside.
- Look to have the option of cases without paint or primer, just bare aluminium.

I am not on the production floor so those suggestions might not be doable and I know you can't be all things to all people but there you have it anyway.

Talk to you next week or so!

Cheers

Actually, never mind the front 1/0 bezel suggestion. I just found this nifty site:
http://www.frontx.com/order2.html
Now I can design my own front panel connectors in a 5.25 bay.

Going to chip in quickly as these questions have been answered previously in the forum. Hope you do not mind Jim.

Removing one of the compartments is creating a new case, from what I understand the Merlin range may have something similar to your suggestion. The STH10 was designed for the enthusiast, the Merlin range will be more geared towards the mainstream market.

I think Jim has said fan filters are a sticky one, everyones tastes are different and providing a solution for everyone is not cost effective at the moment. Personally I do not want anything on the outside of my case.. You do not need to design something that looks ok on the outside, there is just enough clearance on the inside of the panels for a thin filter. I will post some photos of my solution over the next week or so.

I know there has been some confusion about I/O panels and the STH10 by the number of emails I get about it. The STH10 has a 3.5 bay just below the switches that can be used for a wide variety of devices including I/O panels. For a small sample of what's available, check this.

Oh really!? That elongated vertical rectangle under the power/reset buttons is a 3.5 bay? That is so cool.
You guys put a lot of thoughts into your designs!
