samsung s23a700d portrait

Thread Starter
Hi. Im debating between 3 of these monitors or 3 asus vg236h. I have read reviews on both and they seem very comparable but i am partial to Samsung and some users here have spoken very fondly of the Samsungs. Has anyone had any luck putting the 700d in portrait with a vesa mount? I realize it is not natively supported but am wondering how difficult this is and if it is possible. Thanks.

You can do it, but be aware that all TN panels typically have unacceptable levels of contrast shift when in portrait mode.

IPS panels perform normally, however.

yeah i agree.. portrait mode with TN seems kind of like a bad idea....normal wide mode would probably be fine as long as the angles arent to sharp. If your 100% going portrait..id get IPS monitors...but that's just me.

i dont think there are any ips 120 hz panels out there. I currently have a hp zr30w but wanted to try 120hz. Plus the glossy screen is appealing to me. Let me know what you guys think.
