Voltage for a golden i7-870? - Page 2

Looks good but far from golden.
Might reach 4.2GHz with around 1.35vcore w/ HT. Highly doubt it can do 4.4GHz under 1.4vcore though.

Those linx Gflops differ a lot, which suggests the oc is not stable. Let alone you don't use full memory.

Used full memory and did half an hour with 2700mb (not recommended to use full memory BTW) with the voltage shown on picture and no errors (HT off).

With HT on, haven't done any long test but so far 1.2125v & 1.175v (HT on).

I know half an hour is not enough but I need to use the computer so I must stop the test... I will have more time to stress test tomorrow, I finish school thumbsupsmiley.png

I thought it was really good at first but that's only because I had an i5-750 before. Now I understand why i7-860 are all bad clockers, HT is mainly responsible of that.

At least the i7-870 is better on the i5-750 mode (HT off) than my i5-750 tongue.gif

Just curios how you went on with this?
What did you manage so far?
