Burn, next time delete my topic and message me instead of editing what I say to make it sound prettier. The proven reliability (or lack thereof) should be just as important to the news section as the news itself. The INQ is losing it.
That being said, as far as topics discussed here:
It is almost definitely about money for upgrading components to run Vista as well as upgrading to Vista from XP.
To the fellow concerned about Crysis being DX9 compatible, I'm sure it will be. As much as MS would love for us to flock to Best Buy or Walmart and get Vista, they, along with every game developer, know that it will take a long time for a majority of users to upgrade their systems. Games will not REQUIRE DX10 for many many months, even if they SUPPORT it.
As to whether a DX10 emulator/unofficial patch will come out, who knows. Even if it does, one has to question if it's worth it, or if it's so choppy or slow that you might as well "buy" a copy of Vista.
And I guarantee these new Vista anti-piracy features that every tech site was going on and ON and ON about a week ago are nothing special, and will 99.9% likely be hacked within a week of a public release.
