[PCGamer] Why CD Projekt decided to update The Witcher 2 for free - Page 8

It's like designing a car: You can't just buy the next big thing - you need a visionary.
You add this info to the point I made about them not creating CS and it becomes clear that they never were a serious game-producing studio. The pick their spot and try to release something of quality (L4D, Portal). Whenever they try to act like a normal game studio they fail miserably (L4D2 was financially successful, but it was a terrible game).

How is L4D2 a terrible game? It was better in every aspect and has brought a host of high quality official and user generated extra content.

If you only got 4 hours out of those old expansions you were doing something wrong.
This update for free is good please don't try to question that or make out like it should be paid for content. More publishers need to start releasing such content for free as a service to their fans.

Those are all RTS games. Most of the time you spend is just building an army, that's not the same as playing a RPG.

CDPR is the gaming studio. There is no other company out there putting out big time titles like The Witcher with this much care for their customers. While everyone else is nickel and diming us for piddly squat additions, these guys are giving it away to their valued customers.

They are supposed to be releasing a game in the future that is not a Witcher game... I am dying to find out what it is and buy it! Witcher 3, if it ever happens, is an automatic buy for me.

Thank you CDPR! (if you are watching)

You missed CoH in the highlight tongue.gif That's true I guess, but what about the GTA games? I just know most expansions are usually around 10 hours or so of extra content in my experience.

I still don't own the game because I didn't want to pay more than 17 euros because I think changing the combat style of the first game ruined the unique play style. But I will support CDPR for caring about us and go buy it right now.

Thank you!

I didn't play the first one, and I don't know if was going to get the second. But after all the good things I've heard about these developers, I think I will buy a copy and try it anyway. I might not even wait for it to drop to half price like I usually do.
