Nice, loving the lack of those PS/2 port relics. Time to move on.

Why?

"PS/2 or USB?
PS/2 wins on three fronts: First, it supports full n-key rollover. Second, PS/2 keyboards aren’t polled, but are completely interrupt based. And third, it is impossible for it to be delayed by the USB bus being used by other devices. There are two types of USB transfer modes – the interrupt transfer mode (USB polls keyboard, when key is sensed the USB controller sends the interrupt to the CPU), and the isochronous transfer mode, which reserves a certain amount of bandwidth for the keyboard with a guaranteed latency on the bus. Unfortunately, there are absolutely no keyboards made that use the latter, because special controllers would have to be used, thus making it cost prohibitive. So if your keyboard supports both PS/2 and USB, and your PC has a PS/2 port, there’s no reason not to use it."

I don't see how USB is better for keyboards?

IIRC, the water block heatsink is just a tube. No real cooling going on.

yea do know that.
but atleast put g 1/4 so people can still put their own fitting on,
my tubing n fittings r all 5/8 7/16 n black bitpower compression fittings, i don want to put something uglier n unmatch size or fitting on the board, n that i hate to see it through my nzxt 810 switch case. mad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

There's hardly a noticeable difference, ever. PS2 is better on paper but come on, you're not slamming 10 keys per second.

The lack of PS/2 means I won't be buying this motherboard. Time to wait for the Extreme offering.

I'm sad.

Well you're on the "I love Mech Keyboard" club so you know what they are... Only by switching my Ducky from PS2 to USB I start getting wrong typed passwords also start playing MMORPGS like wow in high rated arena and you'll be bashing 6+ keys pretty fast...

I'd like to see as everyone mentioned G1/4 fittings support the way it is the only way to do it is a loop only for the mb and maybe the memory, lame IMO. Also on the sound department, why not embed an essence STX if they are going that route. Make it optional and cost $100 more I don't care. Imagine a lan PC with an OC'd 690/7990 at 16x PCI-E 3.0, onboard Xonar STX ,8-16GB of 2400+ mem, 4.8Ghz+ on processor and a tight loop MB->CPU->VGA in a small case with rad's and some AP15s or Noctua NF-12 controlled based on CPU temp, A raid 0 of 2 fast SSDs (or why not a Revo Drive 3) and a fatty 3TB disk running hybrid with an M-Sata SSD as cache, while keeping Wifi and bluetooth with only one card physically on the slots all that inside the smallest modded case possible.
