Unsure of buying more

Currently I have http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=243 for memory and got it running at 7-8-7-24 and 1600Mhz @ 1.6 or 1.65v
I was wondering what would happen if I put something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277 into it

Would would happen with the voltage and timings or would it just not work?

We can speculate but there is no way to know if mixing any DDR3 RAM will work without problems short of testing it.

When you mix RAM the BIOS typically choses the slowest SPD settings of the RAM installed and if that doesn't work it might default to a failsafe setting with slow latencies and a lower frequency. If you are able to get it to boot, then you could try manually changing the BIOS settings and see what your CPU/mobo/RAM will tolerate.

I personally do not recommend mixing DDR3 RAN as it's a crapshoot if it will work without headaches.

thanks
I think I'll just buy some new memory and get 16GB going
