New H60 and I have a question

Thread Starter
Ok so I just picked up an H60 and Im very pleased with it. I had a CM TX3 with 2 fans in pull push setup. Temps would get down to 21c on all cores of my 960t @ 4.0. The H60 has taken me down to idle @ 16c. When Im @ 16c in HWmonitor CPUTIN says Im @ 32c. That is the same CPUTIN temp when I had the CM cooler and my cores where @ 21c.

So shouldnt my CPUTIN be lower?337

Not really sure what that reading is for, but it could be correct.

H60's don't have a whole lot more cooling potential at idle than a good air cooler, where they shine is load temps, which should (in theory) be lower.

Maybe you got a bad mount on the H60?

What is your ambient temperature by the way?
It sounds pretty cold where you live

Sorry. I had a reply typed up but exited out of it. Im thinking since I dont have any fans blowing right on my CPU socket is the reasoning of the temps. Ambient temps are 20c. With OCCT running I hit 54c on CPUTIN. and 38c on cores. I guess that sounds about right. Thanks everyone.

Yes. Ok. Here are my temps:

H60-idle
Core @ 16c
CPUTIN @ 31

H60-Load
Core @ 30
CPUTIN @ 53c

CM TX3-idle
Core @ 22c
CPUTIN @ 38c

CM TX3-Load
Core @ 37c
CPUTIN @ 60c

After I typed that up it looks like its correct. All the temps are pretty close.
