Low 90s Bad for Heat on a 580?

Thread Starter
I have a 580 SC. I overclocked it to 870 MHz and 1.125 V.

I get low 90s, max I've seen is like 93-95. Is that bad? I would think it's rather normal but a professional opinion helps.

Well fermi what i heard can tolerate up to 100F , but 93-95c little bit high... did you setup fan control?

I think its limit is 99 degrees, you're not at a healthy temperature. It's probably best if you don't exceed 80 degrees.

Left it on auto. Setup how? On the card? You just plug it in.

With the fan at 100%? I'd be uncomfortable with those temps.

It isnt at 100% on fans. It's like 75%-80%. And I'm on stock right now and I get 90C still.

That's a problem. Can you confirm the voltages were reverted to stock too?

idling you get 76ºC?
Few steps to take:
A) Check fan is spinning, properly.
B) Re-apply thermal paste.
C) RMA.

In that order ;if A does not work, move on to B, and so on and so forth.

I'm hitting 90ish on my SLI 580's, running stock speeds, so they do seem to run quite hot, I'm going to try changing out the TIM and directing a AP181 fan at them, hopefully that will lower temps abit
