CPU overclocking BSOD

Thread Starter
I have three mini-dumps corresponding to my attempts to reach 4.6GHz on my new CPU.

Minidump.zip 55k .zip file

I booted easily on windows with 4.5GHz (188x24), tried 4.6 failed first attempt *increase voltage*, fail, *increase a lot the voltage, PCI-e and Skew*, fail again.

The memory is underclocked & overvolted @ 1536MHz with 8-9-8-24 timings which is loose for the speed just to prevent any memory related instability so rams aren't the problem. I think the IMC is unstable but at 1.35v with only 192MHz on the Baseclock I was expecting it to boot when it was doing fine 4.5GHz 1.3v VTT!

Did more testing, the ram speed was 1536MHz bumped to 1920MHz 9-10-9-26 @ 1.55v and loosed the MCH strap. Kept the PCI-e @ 100 and skew 0.

The box now doesn't post hmmsmiley02.gif

I had same problem on the i5-750 but that was when using high base clock (221+MHz) now I have what? 192MHz? headscratch.gif
