Honestly the increase in PC sales has nothing to do with PC gaming. It never did and never will.

The PC market is monolithic and is more concerned with productivity then gaming. I don't know why these analysts thought tablets or iphones would be the death of PC. There are tasks including basic things like writing an email that are just easier to do on a desktop or laptop. People aren't going to just give that up and I don't see many parents sending their kids to college with an ipad rather then a laptop or business outfitting thier employees with iphones rather then desktops.

You don't say...?

I'm not too sure about that. Both the Xbox and Xbox 360s were a great buy when they first came out compared to what you could get from a PC for the same price. PC hardware has advanced so much since the launch of the 360, though, to the point where next generation consoles really won't be as good of a value as they were and can easily be matched or surpassed for similar pricing.

Not to sound like a pc elitist or something but i don't miss thoes screaming kids which i see alot more on consoles then on PC.

The main reason you don't hear the screaming kids as much is because there aren't as many people with microphones on PC.

There are whiny brats on both sides of the fight.
