Why? The 6800GT and Ultra are not being manufactured anymore, and the 6800GS and vanilla 6800 are not good values, and are easily bested by an unlocked 6800XT, which can be found for cheaper.

When evaluating "best", you should also look at image quality, OCability, ability to use after market coolers, etc. The Ati cards are the only cards that can run HDR with AA. "Best" means different things to different people.

x1600PRO is $87 on newegg atm. Was $77 earlier this year.

7600GT is $111 on newegg atm after $30 rebate; less than the x850 XT PE.

7900GTO falls into the $275 category.

Nice list. It could be expanded with links, couldn't it?

X800GTO is much faster than an X1600pro, however the x1600pro overclocked edition is basically a disguised x1600xt, which is about as fast and includes SM3

using MIRs would be confusing IMO, this is MSRP or average retail price
What do you mean by links? Links from e-tailers?

and the 7900GTO is 4 bucks over 250, it deserves to belong in the 250 catagory
