The new 8800GTS (G92) should be in the 350+ range replacing the 8800gt.

Why you don't post all benchmarks ?

In the games you posted HD2900XT 1GB got very poor FPS at high resolution, so it will not be playable anyway. So, there no reason to compare them at high resolution

8800GT outperformed HD2900XT 1GB at high resolution in this game

8800GT outperformed HD2900XT 1GB at high resolution here

Do you know what the word "average" means ?

8800GT have better average performance than HD2900XT 1GB. I didn't say that it outperforms HD2900XT 1GB in every benchmark

I see Maroon is at it again. Don't even try to argue with this guy. He's always right and everyone who disagrees with him is automatically a fanboy. Just let him live in his own little world. He spams his trash in just about every thread that is even remotely related to Nvidia vs ATI.

I posted benchmarks showing 8800GT performing better than HD2900XT 1GB on average. I showed you an evidence ! I'm not the one who is saying that 8800GT is better than HD2900XT 1GB on average, but the website that I posted is saying that... so please shut up.

Your post is off-topic anyway. If you don't want to argue with me then don't. but don't come here and tell others not to argue with me.

Listen, there is no point in your arguments, since I am not even listening to them. I think everyone will agree that you should either stop or gt*o of this thread.

Can you tell why there was no point in my argument ?

You know I was saying that 8800GT was better HD2900XT 1GB and showed you the benchmarks ! So, there was a point

I don't care if you are not listening to my arguments, because my arguments are not for you.

Why the 2900GT over the 2900Pro 512bit?

Also, I think for under $350 the G92 GTS should be considered. At this point the GTS is as fast as the GTX, if not slightly slower by one or two FPS.

The Pro is better than the GT because it is essentially an underclocked 2900XT 512mb 512bit. For the price of a 256mb 256bit GT, you can get a 2900Pro 512mb 512bit. You can easily flash the 512bit Pro with a XT Bios, or overclock it and have a card that is about 10-15% worse than the 8800GT 512mb ($250) for $160.
