Just curious to those of you guys who keep asking me for an update of our 3-year old flagship chassis...

What would you do? What would you change about the existing 800D?

i think if we fill it live bees it would be great... they could have there nests in our rads adn use out res to drink form wink.gif i had to

srsly tho white is the way to go.. maybe try making it more targeted towards the ssd crowd. have maybe 2 drive bays and a few ssd bays. and def support for atleast 3 360's withough modding thinking mroe along the lines of 3 480's. also build in fill/drain ports go a long way.

a white version as an alternate is ok (ala 600t) but the main one needs to remain black.

- less hotswap bays
- removable cages. i think it will be useful specially at the lower compartment for those who want to a rad in there
- optional fan at the front of the mid section. make the "door" at the front removable or can be replaced with a wire mesh similar to 650d for those who want air cooling
- if rads can be placed on the lower compartment, make optional side windows with filtered mesh on where the rads are
- sturdier side panels. the push button mechanism is quite nice. cooler master made swinging removable doors, i think that's nice too.

personally i dont think it needs to be a lot bigger, the inside's just need to be optimized. btw, 800d will be my next case biggrin.gif

Please make it smaller, like tj07 or ft02 size.

The 800d is too big to fit on a desk where you can see all your watercooling glory.

Also please make it able to mount at least two 360s


Maybe have the the psu sideways like the tj07 so you can mount a rad in the bottom

Also to keep cost down make it all black steel with ali front panel.

Hotswap is a gimmick and a waste of money

please make it have a big window

Bring back the 700D??!!!
The 800D is an epic full tower...
Maybe put options for the lower compartment for radiator mounting by default.. instead of us voiding warranties*removal of bottom HDD area*
Hot swap is cool.. but not really needed*sad face, no more 700D*
Those little things make me want to really consider "other" case options which cost MUCH more....
Also, I don't really care for a white version, but some others care!!

Off topic:
I was actually waiting for a thread like this.."asking ppl opinions on improving/adding more detail" to an already badass case...

Don't make it smaller. Make it bigger, or make a bigger version a obsidian 1000. Better airflow, and make it as big inside as possible.


I like full towers, and bigger. Just put it own its own shelf next to your desk. More room the better.


Hot swap isn't a gimmick. Its really useful for people that work with computers. If someone brings you a messed up drive to look at, you can just plug it in without doing anything. I say you really only need the one or two though.


Edit: I really liked the look of the 800D, and I almost bought it. In the end, I didn't mainly because I didn't like the airflow, and it seemed a bit small inside.


Edit2: I did get the Corsair K90 keyboard (5 stars) and 850w pro PSU though.
