Samsung S23A700D - good choice?

Hi all,

I've been considering getting a 120hz monitor lately, and I was thinking about getting the Samsung S23A700D as it's within my budget too - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-168-SA

The features and price on it looks amazing, and I've always wanted a 120hz monitor for my games, movies and just about everything. Note that the similar, 750D version from Samsung is too expensive over here, so I'm really tempted on this one. I just wanted to ask if there are any other 120hz monitors that are worth checking out?

I think the Samsung S23A700D is a good under-250-quid category.

very good choice...in fact one of the best imho.

Samsung 700D, 750D = best for glossy 120hz.
BenQ 2420 = best for matted 120hz, followed by Planar 2311 .

Samsung 950D, Alienware, and Asus something are also decent.

But I prefer Samsung 700D, 750D, and BenQ 2420 the most.

It's one of the better ones, yes. Pretty much what maliqk said.

It only really lacks in terms of features like stand functionality, vesa mounting, connectivity, and such if you compare it to the alternatives. If you don't need any of those and aren't bothered by it being glossy, it's a great model.

It's also the same as the 750D aside from connectivity and stand options.
