Well what he meant to say is that:

The generator creates electricity
The electricity is used to run a compressor, along with some fans
The compressor is part of a cooling loop similar to a domestic fridge
The cold plate from the cooling device is used in the condensor

Air is drawn in the front and passed through the condensor
As the air cools water precipitates out

The water is collected and stored.


So this system is condensing moisture out of the air, just using a turbine to power it rather than solar panel in your link.

So is this more efficient than just using solar energy for the same purpose? I would think that any area that is arid enough to need this system would also be rather sunny as well, thus making solar a good option. Why not just make wind turbines that have solar panels as the turbine blades? thumb.gif
