Hi fstfrddy, Well since I'm night owling tonight I had a question or two I wanted to ask you...Feel free to shoot me down if they are not viable..I'm going to be using a high head pump on my V-6...It's a 18W Laing DDC with a Petra's Tech Shop head on it...I will be getting around 2.9gpm and a 19ft head, both measured at free flow. I'm only going to put my cpu in the loop..Do you think or even care to do a new inlet barb with smaller but more holes in it...My way of thinking the pump would be well able to cause sufficient flow through it and might help cause more turbluence...Do you think it might help with cooling or would it be a waste of time? The second thought I had was to drill the holes that are not going into the cups could be drilled at a slight angle, I realize you are not jigged up for that and it would probably be a pain in the neck....I hope you dont mind me bouncing this stuff off on you, you have probably tried all this before you decided on your designs...This stuff facinates me, so if you have the time and dont mind answering goofy questions I would like to get some ideas on it...Thanks...

I could and would do it if you really wanted it, I would suggest though that you try it the way it is, I am guessing you won't need it.

You will be please with that CPU if it's anything like my 2.8C. I have the 30 cap so 3.8 was nothing for me to reach. go for 4 buddy it can be done.

3.35 seems to be my wall at the moment, it could be my cheapo power supply or ram holding me back but I am still pleased with the performance increase over my Celly.

I had a similar "wall" problem with that chip, at around the same place. I never primed it past 3.4 but it was stable otherwise (SuperPI 1m and 3dmark05 and 03) I didn't save the results though, otherwise I would share. Since I also have a "wall" problem with my 3.0 Prescott at around 3.8 (anything more and my graphics card tells me it doesn't have enough power ) I suspect my power supply is the problem area as well. That is why I am buying this as soon as I get the money: PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610.

I'm pretty sure tat each "v" is just one CPU block. As in..they're all custom made to each customers wants/fstfrddy's experiments.

None of them are the same.

I think that's how it works, no?

Actually I am happy with the look and performance of the V6, If there is a V7 It will most likely be for AM2 specifically. It doesent matter if you have V1 - V6 they are all identical internally with the exception of D/O. Even Fugly performs at the same level. At the moment I have no plans to change anything. I have drawn up an set of adaptor brackets to convert any of my blocks to AM2 and will make them by request.

To date I have made 6 V6s I think
