Geezus guys

PC components are more and more energy efficient now so you won't need a 850 or even 750W power supply to Crossfire/SLI.

a SeaSonic X650 Gold is more than enough and it is very efficient (80+Gold)

It can be had for $140 + shipping.

Regarding the GPU, the 680 is better than the 7970 in some aspects, but it was cheaper, so it took the price/performance crowd. It is more powerful than the 7950

You don't need another fan on your cooler for push/pull. The difference is barely noticable

Good luck with your build

It might not make a difference at stock clocks, but helps a lot when OC'ing.

Looks like better/bigger vrm heatsinks, and an auxiliary Pcie power connector, is all the difference there is. I may be wrong though. Hopefully someone that owns one will chime in.
