I like that one too, but I think I can get the AX850 from a friend so will probably just go with that - plus 850w is still more than enough.

so your crossfiring a 7970 with a 7950 eh. thats pretty cool......what kind of framerates do you get in other games....such as TES 5 Skyrim, or any of the Modern Warfare series.

are you keeping those thermaltake parts or are you returning it after evaluation?

They will get used and not be returned. The PSU's were both used recently in two builds, the water coolers are going into upcoming builds.

I was meeting with EVGA in Computex this week and really like their new PSU's, so I would like to see if I can get one to put in this rig. Here are a couple pics I took:

I got my hands on a Corsair AX850 and some new Corsair fans so I am going to install them into my rig - some pics:

Really like the cables on the AX850 - looking forward to installing it. Will post more pics soon

So here is a shot with the old PSU removed and as it was with the H-100 in a Push setup with the two stock fans

The AX850 inside the case - just need to run some cables:

Cables connected - next step - fans:

Work in progress on the H-100, I am going to go with a push/pull since I have enough fans now:
400

Using the Static pressure fans which are best for radiators, so need to switch the blue rings to red to match the AMD theme
400

H-100 Rad re-installed with fans attached:

Close-up shot:

Next step is to replace the old 140mm fan on the back with a new High Airflow model:

After:

All closed up ready to run:

According to noise sniffer app, sound level inside the case is 46.56db - not like this is really scientific, but seems good. I wish I would have checked the level before so I could see how much better these fans are.
