Recommended UPS to protect computers?

Hello

My old UPS battery seem to be gone and the price for a new battery is so expensive. I'm thinking to just get a new UPS. Before I use an APC 1300 = around 860W. Actually I am looking for something to protect my 2 computers against power that can be unstable sometimes.

My first option is the APC LE1200 but no power back up

Or the

I really like the 1500 series. I have 3 of them in my cubicle, one for my sig rig, and one covering 2 Dells PC's I use. The third I ordered in anticipation of my next build (soon to come, I hope).

We use APC's all throughout my office and I have 2 older ones at home. I haven't ever really had a problem with any of them.

If you do get the 1500 you can save $10 and free 2 day shipping if you have Prime.

To me, this is one of the best purchases you can make for your PC.

Just my 2c worth...hope it helps,

Rich

I would recommend a pure sine wave UPS. For some reason APC choose not to manufacture pure sine wave UPS at that price point. APC one is stepped sine wave, and this may pose a problem in PSU with Active PFC or modern monitor. In simple English term, stepped sine wave is not 100% identical to the power of your outlet (power your PC is designed to use). Furthermore, the surge protector inside APC BR1500G is very weak (355 J). 355 Joules ain't enough to stop a voltage spike.

Agreed. Especially for Corsair PSU. I've read they don't like "simulated" sine wave UPS and shut off when the power goes out.

Another vote for the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD. I've got one and it powers the rig in my sig just fine with a bit to spare.

Plenty for these two computers. Just don't hook laser printer, scanner, etc on the battery backup portion, only PCs and monitors.
