overall it's a really good game, i don't understand why there is so much hate on it
Most are trolls that knew they wouldn't like the game before they even launched it, and/or people nitpicking because game isn't PERFECT for them. I would put my money on 99% of the people complaining already bought the game, or plan to at launch.
The other half of the complaints just aren't valid... like "it's too easy", "it's too short", etc. Everyone should expect this part of the game to be easy and short. The game will be successful, this game just has a lot of hype and lots of fans will adjust and learn that most of their complaints aren't valid with the full game.
The #1 complaint is customization. D2 had lots of it, but only 1-2 builds per class were viable in Hell difficulty. Everyone was using cookie cutter specs, right down to the last stat point. This game will likely have more viable builds at max difficulty, so I assume those complaints will start to disappear after people are allowed to level past level 13 and get more skills unlocked. Lots of people aren't looking at the whole picture, and basing their opinion on the first 13 levels.
The best thing you can ask is:
How much fun was farming blood raven, on normal difficulty, over and over in D2? That's what the D3 beta practically is.
