The beta really gives you an overall feel of the game.
I expected the game to be amazing, consider the fact that its been in development for 10 years.
I'm sorry to say, the game does not feel like a game that's been in development for that period of time.
Don't get me wrong, the game will be successful, but the quality of the game is no where near how a 10yearsofdevelopment game should be.
That said, i still have the CE edition pre-ordered, to support blizzard.
And, I truly hope that the final release is better than what I've seen from the beta.thumb.gif

Normal mechanics are different than other difficulties, in terms of mobs and AI. The beta also serves as a tutorial, and it's suppose to be more linear than the rest of the game. No diablo fans play normal.. they beat it and never go back. The real content is on later difficulties. I think you will enjoy the game, for veteran members, your true fun may not start until Nightmare or even Hell. I mean how much fun would you have it you could only kill blood raven in D2 on normal difficulty over and over? tongue.gif

Run by players.

You can't buy OP items and buffs from it. You can only buy what is found in the game. It's not an unlimited shop, either. PoE you can buy tons of buffs. They claimed only cosmetic, but a cash shop page appeared for a tiny bit and was taken down, people had shots of 5XP, 5xGold or whatever the game calls it, stuff like that.

Exactly, POE is pay to win. Diablo 3 is not.

You can also find items, sell them for real money, and then use that money to buy items if you really want too. Though I won't be touching the real money auction house.

I'm definitely buying this game when it's on sale, if I can resist the urge for that long. Much improved over D2 from what I can remember. Final stats:

You really should of played all the classes.. they are all fun. tongue.gif

Newegg has the game for $50 with a code I believe. Don't expect under $50 for a year or so... maybe slightly less. It won't be on Steam either, so don't expect some 33-88% steam deal. I would just buy it at launch.. totally worth it. thumb.gif

I am in love with wizard. Totally not what I expected. I thought it was going to be like Sorc or any standard ranged nuke caster.

You're a full-on battle-mage.

I would have played them all if I the beta was longer. But since it was only 2.5 days for me, I thought I should just stick to one class. And barb was my fave in D2 besides Necro, and Druid. Do you know what classes would be most like necro, or druid? I haven't been following D3 updates at all tongue.gif

Then I may get it at launch, even thought I won't a lot of time to play it due to end of school, and vacation. Might even have to wait until July to play it as much as I would like mad.gif And I'm not done with BF3 yet...

I don't know how I feel after playing through it a few times. I wasn't left with the need to keep playing that I had with d2. I could take it or leave it.....probably won't buy it until it comes down a bit in price.

I had fun doing boss runs online for 3h-4h, then farming gold and items for 2h-3h biggrin.gif

But I haven't played D2 in at least 5 years, so it was sorta like a new game I guess you could say.

We don't keep from the beta right? FIRE SALE! Hurry up and buy my stuff, I need to sell more. It's all 100.

All gold, and magic farming items BTW

Closest to Necro is witcher doctor. It's not the same though.
Closest to Druid doesn't exist.
