Update

Managed slight oc to 3.5 gb. Is stable in prime. Don't want to push it much more untill i have a better understanding of voltage, can anyone provide a discription or link that would help.

Basically, you keep upping the speed until it becomes unstable. Then you add more voltage. Not sure what it is called for AMD, but it is referred to as vcore with intel. You keep repeating that process until either you reach your goal speed, your temps are too high, or you are not stable no matter how much voltage you use.

With AMD there might be other voltages to manipulate. Not sure. You will have to read around.

Make sure to watch your temps. Under 99 is safe with intel chips. I do not like to go over 60 though. But 70 to 78 or so is good for a 24/7 OC.

I do not call anything stable that does not run for more then 12 hours straight in prime. Make sure you use custom blend and use 90% of your available memory. That will really test it.

Thanks again man. Its Vcore in my amd bios as well.

Just bumped up to 3.6 ghz haven't touched vcore yet. On the last prime run it stopped 2 workers almost instantlly, and gave a fatal error message on them, but everything seems to be going just fine still. I upped the ram use in the test to about 75-80% (it was only using around 20% on the preset test). Under load cpuz core speed is jumping between 3100-3700 mhz. is that normal?

Here is what prime gave me in the txt results. Anyone able to translate?

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4

Ok thanks. Do i need up the memory to resolve this or what?

I'm running it at 1333mhz right now, but it says i can get to 2000mhz oced. What should I be doing to the memory while in the process of this oc?

Play with the volts(But don't go to high),Timing,And maybe the CPU/NB volts too.My memory volts are 1.65 from factory,But I'm running them at 1.70v.

Thanks alot. Do you know where I could find the max voltage for the cpu,nb, and ram. I'm finding plenty about the product specs, not on the voltages threw google searches.

Not sure but,I think your CPU max. volts are 1.55 And that also applies to the CPU/NB.
Also your manufacturer volts on DD3 should be 1.65v
