Booting Linux mint from USB help

Thread Starter
i am trying to boot LM 12 64 bit gnome DVD, from a USB key. however whenever i boot in either compatibility mode or normal i get through the text scrolling on the screen but then i get no signal on my monitor. i have also retried putting LM 12 on the USB with both lili usb creator and universal usb creator. i also checked the MD5, and i can boot memtest from the usb
any help?

I tried using that universal USB creator app on my latest install and it freaking sucked! Wouldn't be surprised if it's causing you problems, just open the ISO with an archive manager and copy everything over to the USB drive after it's been formated as FAT32
