i went from a 965x4 to a 1090t,it seems to use all six cores but 30%-75% never 100% on all six cores, you wont get such drops in the minimum frames, mine only goes down to 40-35 fps but stays about 50-55 fps average, game seems to play a little smoother, the six core is a lot better for battlefield 3 and newer games like that... i usually use auto on the graphics then maybe increase them a liitle, pretty much like you do medium to high settings... i find that keeping the view distance and view detail down about 40 is good.. all i can say is the price is right and those chips are getting rare so grab it while you can,i would keep the 955 as a spare but thats up to you... if you need more info just ask,,good luck

I went from an unlocked X2 (unlocked to only 3 cores) to this X6 and I noticed a pretty decent bump in performance despite being a lower clock. I was able to get my X2 up to 4 gig but could only run my X6 at 3.8 on my aging ASRock 780G board. Still, I picked up a good 5% in frames in my games and now that Ive got this X6 up to a smidge over 4 gig, its doing a great job. Id recommend moving on up to one from a X4.

No the 1100t is the same clock for clock, try for a nice oc and it will be the exact same performance.
The only upgrade from a 955 at this point is a 2500k/2600k as the fx series is lacking.
