My PSU has a buzzing sound to it when you put your ear to it. When sitting normal at my chair, I get a faint high pitched noise that comes and goes and it gets really annoying. Anyone know what the heck is happening?

Could be a bad fan, maybe take out the fan and oil the bearings? I assume its a 120mm fan right? You can follow the same guide as some case fan tutorials to clean it.

i dont have same noise, been using for 3 days.. but when i push the power on, it just make a click noise, do you have the same ? i didnt have that sound on my earlier psus..

It's when I put my ear close to the exhaust. It's got a consistent buzzing sound. Never had that with other PSUs. And since I put this PSU in, there's a high pitched noise that constantly comes and goes. Sounds like tinnitus in the ear when there's complete silence.

I know the high pitched sound is usually coming from caps or resistors. Not sure which. Usually is normal. Is this the first higher end PSU you have owned?

Yes there is a small high pitch whine coming from the exhaust of the psu but I can only hear it if I put my ear right to it. It is inaudible if you're not right up to it.
