He reckons AT&T owns telstra, from what I know, they don't?
Could someone shed some light on this...

what i think your frined is saying is that
AT&T is the american version of telstra though not meaning its owened by the same company. but like refering to something that is simpler like a BLUE TV is a still a TV.

well people when they are talking about AT&T to people who have no clue what it is. people refer telstra to AT&T thats in Australia anyway
