Is there a Problem if I buy a gpu in Japan????

Thread Starter
Hi, I just need to know if I need to worry about compatibility issues or any other thing. I am going on a trip to japan and the gtx 680 isn't out in my country yet. You can find them but they're like double the price. Therefore I will probably buy one in japan. So are there any problems with buying a graphics card in japan? Thank you for the attention smile.gif

Compatibilty wise you wont have an issue. The only problem you may have is warranty. If you buy it in Japan and it goes wrong then it may have to be retuned to Japan. Certain companies do have more lenient warranty schemes like EVGA that have just rolled out global warranty on most of there GPU's which is serial based and you can return to any country.

PCI-E there is the same as PCI-E here. Again though, like the above poster said the only thing you might want to worry about it the warranty.
