Samsung S27A750D vs. Acer HN274Hbmiiid

The difference between them is that acer supports nvidia 3D but unlike the Samsung it doesn't have a Displayport input. What do you think?

The Samsung S27A750D supports 3D if you have an AMD GPU. You can still use 120hz if your GPU has a displayport input. There is no benefit in using Displayport over dual-link DVI. Here is a review of the 750D

The Acer sucks, it is one of the worst 120hz displays.

There is also the updated Nvidia 3D Vision 2 Acer, but it isn't much better. If you want good colours and response times avoid Acer

If you have a nvidia GPU and want to use Nvidia 3D vision get the Asus VG278H

The main difference is that the Samsung is glossy=slightly more vibrant+clear colours at the price of reflections and the Samsung's have around 13ms of input lag while the Asus has 2ms of input lag (PRAD.de) and is matte=no reflections and slight grain+dulling of whites and light colours.

Thanks for all that info! Samsung wins in that case.

I don't care much for nvidia 3D (i don't care much for 3d at all). I chose the the Samsung because I was told it was one of the prettiest 120Hz 27" displays, screen quality and response times I mostly what I care for. If there's any pretty ones that support nvidia 3d please share. I'll be checking the Asus one out. Thanks!

PS: Under what light conditions can I eradicate the reflection completely? Is it annoying?

Just make sure there's no light source facing the monitor such as as a window. You get used to it and its not actually that bad. In the evenings if your gaming, its not a problem at all. In the day time, reflections may only show up when the screens black, white backgrounds such as OCN is not a problem for me.

Samsung S27A750D is better (if not the best 27" glossy 120hz monitor on the market), no question imho.
