That doesn't look so promising... I didn't realize that BD/PD has such a smaller L1 Data Cache compared to Thuban either. Oh well - just a couple days to see what everyone else says about it

my overclocked 1090t has always been able to out preform my overclocked 8150 in every day activity's with the same cooling system

The Thuban shown above represents the absolute max on air,with a 3100MHz IMC and CL6 timings.The 8350's memory scores are lower than the same testers stock scores,so you can bet there is a lot more left there in memory performance.While the L1 data is smaller,L2 and L3 are bigger,and this was done on W7 with it's inferior branch prediction over W8 on the FX. You can be sure there will be at least 4.8-5.0 GHz on air,so the comparison looks good for replacing the Thuban as AMD's best.

Nice benchmark there Red! Ugh, I don't want to think of Windows 8 myself... I find it to be ugly as hell.... I want my start menu :-p
And yes - since you've clarified the memory timings for that bench run, that does reassure me that Piledriver should provide at least a bit of an upgrade path to us Thuban users. Personally I'll just buy it, disable 1/2 of each module and see what that thing can do on Windows 7 without worrying about the non-optimized scheduler.
