Mobo line/ scratch Frustration

Thread Starter
Hi all, I got this MOBO a while ago, Asus M4A78T-E ( upgraded to the same mobo but a DDR3 version)

I was building my computer the other day and I noticed a line/scratch I was going to take a pic of it but I forgot!! After I finished my build I decided to crawl under the casing and take some snaps of the line/scratch.

Is it a scratch or just a design line?

How bad is it??

I dunno, it was there when I got it.

All seems to work fine though.

I built it perfect. I bought it from ebay.

Tell me more about the scratch/line

Looks like it might not even be a scratch, have you tried to wipe it off? It's also about the right color to be a small error in the painted line running right through it.

It's far enough from the circuit traces it's not going to hurt anything if it is a scratch. Not to mention you already said the system runs fine, if it really bothers you just color it black with a permanent marker. thumb.gif

If your system is working fine, i do not think there is an issue here. Yes there might be a scratch but if its not causing you and trouble i dont think you should be worried much about it.

I haven't tried to wipe it, but I remember when I touched it, when I was building this computer and it didn't feel like a scratch. It wierd the way it looks! I've downloaded the orignal photos of this mobo and zoomed into the picture and I don't see this Z marking. If you scratch this kind of mobo is it white underneath then??

The system seems to be working fine though
