the 990FX-UD3 is a far better choice with the 8+2Phases and all of the VRMs cooled with CF/SLi x8/x8 config its a great motherboard a B55 i guess is a 125w CPU and i would rather say if you dont have CF/SLi in mind then the Asus M5A97 (4+2 Phases VRM setup) and a little more costlier 970A-UD3 (8+2Phase VRM setup)

Hope that helped thumb.gif
*EDIT*
and another thing i forgot to say with a 4+2 or 8+2 Phases VRM setup you would get a better overclock like a 3.8Ghz~4.0Ghz setup at comparatly lower voltage which means the CPU will last longer with the lower voltage thumb.gif

As rock is a good board and will handle a mild overclock

whats wrong with the Asus M5A97 ????? its from Asus and Asus owns ASrock to remind you buddy Asus opened up ASrock to compete against itself in the market but Asus is the best the board you are talking the Asrock 970 Extreme 3 costs Apporx 80 to 90$ and the M5A97 is for the same price with better features and all the other things and lastly its AM3+ too wink.gif
