The depth of the BGears adapter is 15mm according to Systemlord:
Like I said before you will not find many members mounting 120mm fans onto a 140mm radiator using these two adapters, I would not be surprised if they were from the same manufacturer as there is no markings on them to tell where there made. I do know they're 15mm thick if that helps, the BGears adapters has high quality plastic as far as I am concerned. I say go with what you know, I can only recommend BGears or flip a coin.

The first question in the thread title is the one I must have answered. The rest is optional.
I do not believe there is another way to accomplish what you want to do, there is only one way to mount a 120mm fan to a 140mm radiator. The subject is exhausted and that is why no one is responding, not many have done what I've done. You got all your answers, what more do you want to know that hasn't already been said?
I thought someone may have come up with a creative way to mount them, so I gave it a bump.
I guess the question now is, Bitspower or BGears adapter? A simple Pros and Cons list of both would be nice. And where would be the cheapest to get them? It seems BGears is $5 (Tigerdirect.com), and Bitspower is $5 (PPCs, or $3.87 DirectCanada.com).
Also the depth of the BGears adapter is not listed anywhere, only the Bitspower (14mm).
I currently have a plan in mind that is different then the one shown [below]. But It still involves 120mm to 140mm adapters, so I'll leave the thread open since it is still somewhat relevant. With the new plan, the depth of the adapter is not nearly as important, but instead the cost and efficiency is of greater importance. So as of now, my main questions are: Bitspower, BGears, or other(possible custom) adapter? And where would I be able to get the adapter the cheapest shipped to WA USA?
My goal is to have the final width of the rad+adapter(or no adapter)+fan to be as slim as possible. The total width will be doubled, so even 5mm makes a difference. Ideally the total width would be 55mm(25mm fan+30mm rad).
List all the possible ways to mount 120mm fans on a 140.3 radiator.
Here is what I know will work as an adapter:
Here is what might work as an adapter:
I don't know of any rads less than 40mm thick that support 120mm fans out of the box.
And some rough sketches of what I'm thinking of doing(just did them now):Open (Click to show)
Rad attached to box, and fans to rad, or something similar. The left and right side will look the same, so two rads.
