Switch for LAN Party

Thread Starter
Hey all,

Bunch of buddies are getting together for a LAN night. I don't have a switch that will connect 12 nodes, so I am going to pick one up this weekend.

Is there anything I should look out for, or just a regular basic switch will do the job I assume but just want to double check, also Brand wise, is TrendNet decent enough just for gaming at LAN parties.

Found some decent prices for some 10/100 switches, just want to know if there is any last minute things I have not accounted for.

Thanks for the help !

Pretty much any generic unmanaged switch will do the job.
Gigabit may be more suited for lots of LAN transfers and don't really have a huge premium over 10/100 as far as cost.
