Sig rig needs new parts. What should I get?

Thread Starter
So my sig rig died and i need to replace some parts
I need to replace these:
CPU:
Motherboard:
PSU:
Rear Exhaust Fan:

Maybe add more:
RAM:

The rest of the parts are still working and I'm keeping them to use them in the newly refreshed sig rig

Budget: 500 USD?? more or less

Uses:
Everyday use
Heavy multitasking
Moderate to heavy gaming (the game I play the most has a memory leak. Do I need more RAM? Also, I multi client that game)

Notes:
I don't need an overkill PSU. Just enough to handle the parts plus room for upgrade in the future for better cpu, extra hard drives, single gpu setup
max resolution on my monitor is 1920x1080 (I think)

Please provide more information such as how much are you able to spend on your upgrade, do you have any parts in mind? is there any specifications you would rather have? are you going to be using this PC for gaming or something else, are you willing to be gaming on that asus 21.5" monitor and how much resolution does it have. please provide these information so we would be able to give you a helpful answer smile.gif

Look at this PSU.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703028

$100 after rebate, 950 watt, and the legendary PC Power and Cooling 7 year warranty. Non modular, though.

Now, I don't say you need 950 watts (600 is plenty), but it gives you so much room to grow, and the warranty means it will last a very long time.

but he didnt even provide us with how much he is able to pay, i can advise him with getting the Silver stone Strider 1500watt powersupply which will run his system pretty well lol.. but it costs around $350. i cant advise him that if he has a limit of.. per say ~100 bucks.

i'll take the mobo and cpu into consideration but not the PSU. that PSU was what i had and it fried

i can't tell what size fan it is either but there's 3 sets of holes for screws so i'm sure any fan that's around the typical rear fan size will be ok. my guess is the holes are for 120mm, 140mm, and 160mm
