Need advice on this motherboard!

Here is a motherboard I was recommended: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005G2U6GK/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=blizzplanet0e-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B005G2U6GK

I want to buy a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM for the release of Diablo 3. I will take the rest of the parts from my current computer. Will this motherboard, matched with an i5 processor and 8 gigs of ram deliver exceptional graphics? I know warcraft is a cpu heavy game, and i assume diablo 3 will be as well. I already have a graphics card, which is pretty nice. I wanted to upgrade my computer in general anyhow, i guess since Diablo 3 is coming, it will be the deciding factor. What i5 should i get? i7s will be more then i need from what i have read. Thanks.

2500k is good enough, and it's a decent board for the price yeah.

Who recommended that motherboard to you and why? I certainly would not buy that motherboard. Motherboard has nothing to do with gaming performance. An i5-2500K paired up with GPU such as HD7770, HD7850, GTX 470, and GTX 560 Ti should be plenty of most gamers. What screen resolution are you using?

Which graphics card do you have, and what resolution do you play at?

EVGA is known more for their graphics cards but they make nice motherboards too. Asus boards tend to be more expensive, but Asrock and Gigabyte are two good brands if you want to look around more.

Also Ive bridge launches in a matter of days now. It isn't a huge upgrade from sandy bridge (as far we know) but it's something to think about.
The 2500K and the 2550K are the only unlocked i5s, so I'd recommend one of them. The 2550K is a 2500K that has the iGPU disabled and it's cocked 100 MHz higher.

My current resolution is 1440x900, and i have been looking at the i5-2500, it seems to be a good bang for your buck. What mobo would you recommend?

is there a reason you were recommended a micro ATX? do you have a small case or something?

Im using a nividia geforce GTS 250, its not a top of the line card, but it gets the job done. I saw a big increase in gameplay on warcraft with it, even though that game is CPU heavy it was a nice jump in fps.

My case is quite small, what is the difference between micro ATX and ATX, i thought almost all boards were micro ATX. I may just wait a bit longer and get a bigger case if its worth it.

Ah. HD7770 or GTX 560 (non Ti) is more than enough for you at that resolution.

As for my recommendation, for that price point a full size motherboard (ATX) would be Biostar TZ77XE3. For mATX it is either Biostar TZ77MXE (around the same budget) or ASUS P8Z77-M PRO (higher price, but packs more features & overclock ability).

That Biostar ATX looks nice. I like the look and the specs look nice, for the same price too pretty much!
