That is a good point but you said "Ofcourse you hate it you went amd" you didn't say anything about AMD in a $2000 PC

Okay, the thread has been cleaned up and I'm going to re-open it on a short leash.

I believe the point that the member overpaid has been made, ad nauseam ... and not nearly as tactfully by some as it should have been rolleyes.gif

Let's keep it constructive moving forward and NOT belittle our comrade OP here anymore, okay guys?

And no more AMD processor bashing either. If you want to post benchmark links to show how they perform, that's fine, but just let the article speak for itself, if you get what I'm saying.

Thanks thumb.gif

Make sure you have the latest graphics drivers? Make sure Xfire is working correctly? OC the CPU some? There's no reason CFX 5770's should be so slow at your resolution.

Thread Starter
@G3RG – Once I fix the original problem Ill look into over clocking.
@selectstriker2 – Canada Computers.
@danielwiley – Thank you for that post, goes a long way.
@Shishir- I understand, I'm trying to figure out how to improve on my investment. (over clocking subjections?)
@$ilent – I will Monday. Ill use that program this site offers and tell everyone.
@brettjv – Thank you for your support.
@Nickzorz91 – I am going to install MSI afterburner and try some methods I wrote down from other posts. Make sure the Xfire is enabled. And reduce the resolution. THEN ill ask for some over clocking tips.

Thank all of you for your support and comments. I would have never come this far if it wasn’t for you. I am a NOOB to electronics heck I can't even set up my dam TV with my computer. Ugh… lol

Yeah get a SDD or a nice 7200rpm HDD and OC your 5770s with MSI After Burner... not too much only little by little.
I think I was doing better than you with one 5770 so there is something hurting you. Also OC that CPU some if you got
a proper cpu cooler.

And those prices you paid kind of look like retail prices. I've seen prices that high at Best Buy so I believe you paid that much frown.gif
But it's already done next time try to do some research first or buy online... I was there before.

Can you tell which PCIe slots (mark the pict below) both 5770s inserted? If you put the second 5770 in the x4 PCIe lane, the result is pretty much expected.

There are several ways to check if the Crossfire setup is working as it should. The simple one is to run benchmark in full screen mode with crossfire enable and disabled (select in CCC/AMD Vision Control menu). With it enabled the FPS should increase by at least 80%. If see no the improvement with it enabled, VERY POSSIBLE the second 5770 is in PCIe x4 slot.

You might have placed the first 5770 in the white slot and the second card in red slot with more PCIe slot spacing, to have better airflow. Let's check the basics first before going all over the other juju.

Ok, I think it's been established that he may have overpaid for his parts but the real problem is that what he has is not performing like it should. How about trying to help him with that instead of repeatedly telling him he overpaid...
