Read major news websites. They are terrified by that and called emergency meeting.

When will these depressed kids go away :S

I could only imagine shooting that bow with an incendiary tip and having the aliens wonder where in the hell that shot came from, silencer not required!

Cevat Yerli says a lot of things. Actions speak louder than words, and Crysis 2 spoke very poorly. Crappy game, waste of money. It went backwards in every conceivable way; story, graphics (dx9 at launch), cutscenes, gameplay, controls. Everything went down the toilet.

After telling myself I wasn't going to buy Crysis 2... well, I'm definitely NOT pre-ordering Crysis 3. No siree.

From the words of Crytek boss Cevat Yerli, Crysis 3 will have more in common with 2007’s debut title than of last year’s New York-set, Crysis 2.

So, in other words, rather than being linear and somewhat boring with little excitement, it's going to be large and boring.

Crysis 2 had good graphics and great gameplay but people were too busy obsessing over what Dx version it was using or the graphical quality of trash in the water to notice how fun it was.

Oh yeah you see that pile of bricks over there? It probably has a higher IQ than the A.I in Crysis 2.rolleyes.gif

The thing I did not like about Crysis 2 was it was a buggy console port and a very subpar mediocre console shooter. I have very little hope for Crysis 3.

which is sad, because it was one of the strengths of the 1st Crysis. In Delta those dang Koreans were incredibly clever.

Mmm I wouldn't say "clever", it was more of a "Koreans how have telescopic vision and will 1-shot you from stupid distances because you un-cloaked for a fraction of a second". Did you get a chance to play some with some of the player-made AI mods? Now THOSE were clever and I would genuinely find myself outplayed sometimes tongue.gif

To be fair, I don't think Crytek ever anticipated multiplayer taking off at all. You only need to take one look at the SHEER number of bugs/glitches:
http://www.mycrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=42046&sid=13f81c5a01c68df121799488cdec64db
^ 84 major bugs/glitches, there are far more.

This hints that almost no quality control was performed on multiplayer. None. Zip. The icing on the cake is the non-existent anti cheat measures, which further proves that Crytek/EA had absolutely no plans to sustain multiplayer...most likely there was no budget or team assigned.

There is a lot of expectation from Crysis 3. Crytek shot themselves in the foot because people now expect decent multiplayer as well. Don't get me wrong, I liked the campaign - but it's only fun playing it for the first time, something which is hardly worth $90-110 NZD.

Meanwhile Crysis 2 multiplayer sucked me in like a thousand-dollar whore, and then proceeded to gouge my spleen out hackers/glitches. It is so insanely, insanely fun I keep going back to it to remind myself that I don't have to play the "realistic" borefest that is BF3 and I can have the option of running invincibly/invisibily around like Spiderman, being a one-man army and carrying my team to victory.
