New Computer Build - opinions, advice and suggestions welcome

Greetings everyone,

Long time reader, rare poster,
I'm from Australia (so prices will be listed in australian currency)
I've been working on a new build, which my nephew has purchased already, sort of a test case.

So I've already had a chance to actually put the pieces together but haven't seen it run yet, we made a mistake in which ram to purchase, and are awaiting the new ram, which should be here in afew days, it will run perfectly for my nephews needs, but as for me, I am expanding upon the build further, as my budget is alittle higher

In putting together my nephew's build, which includes everything above the line, we found that the only major issue was how the video card sat with the sound card, there is just enough space to have a 2xSLI build and the sound card in between, with the sound card not quite reaching the edge of the fan on the video card.

My nephew's build only includes 1 Inno3D GeForce GTX 680 2GB so he can install the sound card further away in the last slot, but I face the issue of having the 2 Inno3D GeForce GTX 680 2GB installed in the first 2 16x PCIexpress slots and putting the soundcard on either side of the 2 video cards, leaves it extremely close to either video card

I am wondering if there will be overheating issues with this, and if so, should I skip having a independent soundcard to allow more space between a SLI setup for airflow and just use on-board sound

I have had thoughts of a Extended ATX motherboard and such (to give extra spacing for the soundcard in question above)..... or a USB based soundcard

anyway

If anyone has any suggestions, tips, ideas or comments concerning the above build, I'd be happy to hear them to get some perspective on the overall process

Kind regards

Also I should include that I own a set of razer-megalodon with the Audio Processing Unit - http://au.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-megalodon

Razer Maelstromâ„¢ Audio Engine
Hear your enemies before you see them with 7.1 channel virtual surround sound. If the sound source does not support 7.1 or 5.1 Surround Sound, the Megalodon will also perform as a quality Stereo Headset with a deep thumping bass.

Onboard Audio Processing
Offload the Virtualisation of the Surround Sound to the internal sound card and take the demand off your CPU.

If adding in this to the mix in consideration for overall sound quality, either from the Creative Sound card listed above, or the On-board sound card with the X79 Sabertooth Motherboard

just thought I'd mention it

(edited first post for easier reading, realised it was abit out of whack)
