Mass effect 3 is fairly undemanding. On AMD side you can set 4xSSAA with a -1 LOD bias and it will be bullshot quality. SSAA is so amazing.

BF3's FXAA does the same thing. I'm sure its a beta FXAA or something. Looks trashy. As for NVCP FXAA, it looks nice as shown from above screenshots.

Yeah, I played the game with 4xSSAA. How I like my 7970.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that nV's FXAA is exactly the same as the in-game FXAA in things like Skyrim and BF3. IOW, if you turn on FXAA in NVCP for games that have the native support, all it does is turn on the native support ... and it's exactly the same.

No trust me. It is not the same quality. The above images prove it. Look out in the distance with NVCP FXAA and BF3 FXAA and you will see the MASSIVE difference. Same coding but tweaked differently.

Could be but I doubt it. Unlike Forced MSAA where the engine has to have some level of support (i.e. you cannot force MSAA on a game with a deferred renderer i.e. Crysis 2) post process AA is run independent of the game engine. That's why MLAA and the like blur the hud. Not sure how Nvidia forced FXAA works but if it works in every game like MLAA does then it is independent of the engine.

BF3 Maxed, using no injectors in any of the screenshots.

Comparing BF3 FXAA with Homefront + NVCP FXAA

I believe Nvidia tested their version of FXAA by using Batman Arkham City as their test subject. They did well I believe.
