no no no. You get a tool to burn the memtest livecd image to your usb. Google is your friend.

Ok I got it working and it's nearly at 1 pass with no errors. I know it's not my ram tho coz I only bought my ram at Xmas and its was tested just over a month ago and passed. One thing that is odd tho is memtest say my cas timings are 9-9-9-24 when on the sticks of ram it say they are 8-8-8-24 and it's says DDR1333 when the sticks are DDR1600

It's just done 1 pass and no errors now as well

these are the sticks of ram i have guys.

http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=MEC-D3-8GBE168

should i manually but 1600 and 8-8-8-24 in the bios coz at the moment its all set to auto and in memtest and cpuz its says 9-9-9-24 and memtest say my ram was on DDR1333 ?

i don`t understand if this is wrong how can i of been playing all my games and stuff without any problems ?

Your motherboard doesn't support DDR3 1600 unless you OC it. You need to do just more than a single pass. It's recommended to let it run overnight and just because it was bought only 4 months ago doesn't mean it won't break. thumb.gif

DDR3 is Double Data Rate 3 and the 1600 is how fast it runs aka 1600mhz. Its supports DDR3 1333 but only DDR3 1600 if it is overclocked.

ive just been into the bios and seen that i can change it to 1600 but i can`t see where to change the 9-9-9-24 settings?

if i can`t change any of these settings then is it ok to just leave on auto? the ram i had before had no problems and was DDR3 1600 and i had that for years and it still ok to use.
