Sabertooth 990FX: BIOS issues!

Thread Starter
OCN, I need help! I recently purchased a Sabertooth 990FX motherboard for my FX 8120 and I can't seem to save my BIOS settings. I have come across many errors when I installed it, including Q-Fan control not functioning and the fan defaults to 500 RPM and my SATA settings always being set to AHCI (instead of IDE). After I get these settings stable, I'm able to power in to Windows 7. While my time and date settings are always reset, everything remains unchanged. But when I remove my computer from a constant source of power, the BIOS resets, causing my PC to crash and force me to rerun the initial setup. Sometimes I even experience an error where my GPU doesn't even function (goes to 100% fan speed and sits. Seems as if it bricks temporarily. I just unplug the power source and let it reset itself.) Oh, and yes, I changed my CMOS battery to one I know was working (my old motherboards, which was running fine.)

This is very annoying and I hope you guys can help me. Thanks OCN!

(System is in Sig Rig)

are you on the latest bios? i have the board and haven't had that many problems but I do know that the bios save settings thing is kinda hidden compared to some boards. Here is the latest bios.

Edit. Well I can't access the Asus website for no apparent reason but I think the latest bios is 0901? I would try that first and then see if it still isn't working. Updating the bios was a piece of cake for me so hopefully it will be just as easy for you.
