Well the 560ti is one of the cheapest cards than can do 60FPS at 1080p on High with BF3.

Pick up a used 6870. Should be $100 - $120

It is directly on par with the GTX 570 except the 480 has more VRAM.

480 would be a good choice if you get one at the right price. Keep in mind that the 400 series used a lot of power and produced a lot of heat.
Also, the 7770 and the 6850 are pretty much equal. The 7770 needs less power though I believe, so that's a plus.

I play BF3 with a HD6870 and it's great ! On good settings i avg 50fps. So i imagine the HD6850 should be a good bet too, but if you can afford a HD6870 or 560Ti then do !

Infact a Nvidia 560ti would be ideal if you can get one for the right price, they are a great all round card. biggrin.gif

Good luck !

I believe their similar...7700 uses less energy though? And is newer

Go for a 7700 I guess lol. Less energy, cheaper, similar performance?

In BF3 there identical, other games the 6850 is a tad faster.

AMD Phenom ii x4 9553.2 GHZ

Lol typo much? I was just like :O when I read that.

I have a 560ti 448 driving 720p and I get around 70-90 fps on ultra, so for 1080p, I would say sli'd 560ti 448's/570/580/any higher end cards

Of course is this from my opinion on how many fps is "good", which in my point of view anything less than 50 is horrid, 50-65 is ok, 70 is good, and 80+ i like
post #18 of 24
You could also look into a used 5850. They are cheaper then 6850s and perform a good bit better. Plus you can get 1ghz on the core pretty easily. One of my favorite graphics cards.

Would Coolmax 600w Power Supply be enough? It's not fancy and it's not gold, bronze, silver, however you rate them...wink.gif
