Is this a good SSD drive? - Page 2

Yeah i would go with 128GB no matter what, 128GB is enough for a few apps and a couple of games...not really 64gb...You will be struggling

I was also conisdering the M4 but went with the Vertex 4 (newer hardware)

One of the best! Get 128GB or 256GB though.

Well, if you're going to play a more 'classic' MMORPG then definitely get the 128GB version. MMORPG's are usually quite big in terms of disk space.

Erm, last time I re-installed the OS, it took 9GB off my HDD...

And I am financially not able to buy a 128GB version...

A year or so ago, I was stuck with a 40GB HDD since my last one overheated (don't know how biggrin.gif ) and I had that 40GB for over 3 months, and I really didn't need that much space, and right now I have a 160GB HDD and I still have 80GB left, taking in mind I have a few movies on here and other programs that I wouldn't install on the SSD...

The M4 is a really good drive.

I got mine 4 months ago from the same place for £80, so the prices are really coming down.

4 Months a go was a really bad time to buy a SSD due to the Thailand floods... You should have waited... Anyway, since the M4 is a good drive, and it is reletively cheap, I hope im going to buy it soon. smile.gif

Im going to need to buy a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket since my CoolerMaster Elite 330 doesn't have a 2.5" bay >.<</div>

Actually that didn't affect prices of SSDs.

And you don't really need an adapter...

You don't need to put the SSD in any HDD bay, I don't for mine. I have mine hidden behind the mobo trays and 5.25' bays in my PCs. biggrin.gif

Doesn't that get the temperatures higher? Or are they so low, it doesn't even matter? biggrin.gif
