So do these products work? Zboost / Wilson Electronics

If they do work, why doesn't everyone have one. Or better yet why doesn't every other telephone pole have one?

We had the Metro z boost thing in our old house when we lived in the boon-docks. It did worked with limitations, it's not going to solve a whole house problem. But we spent most of our time between our living/play/kitchen in that house. And we had the base station in the middle of the three rooms as they were all connected via the living room.

It was a difference of something like 3 bars instead of 1 bar, which in actuality made it fully worth it. I waited and waited until I could get one relatively cheap off of ebay.

Again, it's not like having a cell tower in your house, but if you get noticeably better signal outside your house then in, then it can help out a relatively small area in your house.

Just remember, the model I'm talking about is one of the cheapest out there, I'm sure the super duper mutli-hundred dollar kits may have better results!

Thanks for the info. I'm still wondering if it would work in my area. From what I have googled, it seems to work in a sense. However, it appears the only real way to improve the quality is to use a directional antenna aimed at the tower. Now which one will actually gain the dB needed to improve the signal is still unknown to me at this time. To date my dB go all over the place from -85 to -105 without moving. What I have read, follows along the same lines as your experience. Idk, I'm going to try Sprint with a newer phone to see if that helps. If that fails to improve things then I'm just going to give up the whole smart phone thing and opt for a cheap PP like my wife has.
