Wow... now I have even more respect for Valve.

Seems like an awesome company (where is HL3 at anyway. You're even trolling new employees at this point).

To be honest I've never had any dealings with them other than I click buy, do PayPal, receive stuff. On the few times I've contacted staff it's been very slow to get a response and they have no phone number to call either.

I'v always respected Valve more then most companies, but this takes it to a new level of authenticity. It also explains the Valve Time effect. Still though, I'll take the unpredictable Valve Time because I know pretty much anything Valve spits out turns to gold.

When I was working on my degree, I remember people from Vanguard Investments coming to talk about life in the working world of Software Engineering. It would make most people want to change majors. Even in trying to sell their company, it sounded like a cutthroat, 60 hour+ work environment with tight deadlines and a very narrow scope of work. If Valve is heaven, financial companies must be hell.
